Want to write an article, but have no ideas?
Or, have an idea you want an article on?
This thread can serve as a medium to propose ideas and find inspiration. Simply write the idea here, or come here to find an idea. If you see an idea here that you want to write an article on, mention it in a reply so that others know you are working on it and can pick another.
Should you still be stuck for ideas, we have a loose priority for certain types of articles over others(written by Awesome Eagle ) -
1.Tutorial articles
These articles will introduce TW Vets and newbies to the Rome system- so they will be popular and needed relatively quickly after release. Articles on such things as city management, how the economy system works, Unit recruitment and building guides.
2.Gameplay articles
These articles will introduce the finer things of the new system. Such as a comparison between the different army stances and how to use them to your advantage, and against the enemy.
3.Opening Move Guides
These articles will be used by newbies and TW veterans alike as a way in which to best start off a faction. Like the opening move guides of old- these will have to be meticulously rehearsed and tested on all difficulties in order to give the best start for a faction. One faction can be played in many different ways, so multiple Opening Move Guides for a single faction would be a nice bonus.
4.Advanced articles
These articles will view- in detail advanced aspects of the game- such as particular effective strategies for a campaign or battle- as well as articles such as how to establish Naval superiority in the Aegean. These would be rather large and detailed, with most not being faction specific
6.History articles
These articles will examine the realm of history. It may be of a particular faction- till at the very least the starting date of the campaign, but in most cases continuing until they are destroyed or captured. Other articles may cover a more specific topic, such as a person, place, religion, event or other-wise. These are considered to be the lowest priority as we have a somewhat extensive RTW1 history section, and our History sectionalready contains these mighty tomes, and thus is quite populated already. More importantly, however, is the fact that they would not be useful for a newbie looking for advice on the game.
