Long time no see fellas. The release of Rome 2 had pulled me back here, hopefully for a long time. Thank Athena the good wife is understanding enough to let me do this.
This thread will feature my Let's Play Walkthrough for the Greek nation of Epirus. I chose it because it is a brand new faction, plus I wanna show off my pre-order status.
I will not go into much detail in writing since it is not an AAR, and you can see what exactly happened in the YouTube link which I will provide for each parts.
Let's cut to the chase then.
Part 1. Opening moves.
The building browser was hard to understand so I focused on one thing I like the most, conquest. Sparta, whom I am at war with, was the obvious target but the Spartans themselves knocked on my door (Larissa) with their spears brandished within the next turn. Who shall have first blood?

Part 2. Dining with the Spartans.
The Spartans attacked again with another army while I sent a fleet full of troops from Appolonia to attack the Spartan homeland. Forced March seems to be a very useful ability to go across great distance, but one should be careful of its morale penalty. Rome and Syracuse declared war on me, thanks to Pyrrhus' history with them.
Thanks Pyrrhus!

Part 3. Death in the Family.
The fleet I sent to Sparta had finally arrived at the destination. After two bloody defeats, Sparta should be weakened enough to be conquered with ease, or is it? Will my other enemies stay quiet during that time?
Let's find out.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryiXvTKCEXQ&list=PLczCuDUjFsGGnm8gM2GWjgitg2LOCZnE9
Part 4. Siege of Athens.
Athens had attacked me while I was busy with Sparta--clearly they wish to die or be enslaved. Although one of its armies had suffered defeat recently, it has reserve army, decent fleet and high walls to hide safely behind. How should I crack this nut?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTwOev5adIA&list=PLczCuDUjFsGGnm8gM2GWjgitg2LOCZnE9
Part 5. Macedonian Gambit.
The Macedonians must be pissed at me for annihilating its ally and then its vassal within such short time. What can they do about it since they are embroiled in a war with Tylis, MUAHAHAHAHAHA...ha?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YdTs9YbQ71c&list=PLczCuDUjFsGGnm8gM2GWjgitg2LOCZnE9&index=5
Part 6. Minotaur's Lair.
The Macedonians are beaten back to their lands. The unification of Hellas is at hand. Will my first naval conflict be success or bust?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2a4_2FtwQ4&list=PLczCuDUjFsGGnm8gM2GWjgitg2LOCZnE9&index=6
Part 7. Yesterday's leftovers.
Life is a puzzle, and so is the Campaign UI. As I consolidate my hold of Crete and figure out where my economy stands, rogue enemy fleets are annoying me like flies in a toilet.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8n6i66Dg44&list=PLczCuDUjFsGGnm8gM2GWjgitg2LOCZnE9
Part 8. Pella's Hellas fellas.
Macedon has tested my patience enough. Time to wipe them off from the province of Macedonia and bring peace to the province. However, there is simply no rest for the wicked.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_8oRSJZzo0&list=PLczCuDUjFsGGnm8gM2GWjgitg2LOCZnE9&index=8
Part 9. Tireless Tylis.
It seems there is just no end to people who wishes Epirus to be destroyed. Good news is, constant action is just what I live for. Time to cut down the enemy numbers, starting with Tylis.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ipOJjC06Uc&list=PLczCuDUjFsGGnm8gM2GWjgitg2LOCZnE9
Part 10. On the offense.
Ballistaes are here! Finally! These babies will be very useful in taking down Pulpudeva, which is a walled city.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oPi1U9Cj7ws&list=PLczCuDUjFsGGnm8gM2GWjgitg2LOCZnE9&index=10
Part 11. On the defense.
I thought by having secured last Tylis city, Antheia, I would get some time to relax and be at peace. Which was not the case. This episode had me fighting one defensive battle after another til I almost gave up.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tf2qtYiNzcY&list=PLczCuDUjFsGGnm8gM2GWjgitg2LOCZnE9&index=11
Part 12. On Roman shore.
The remnants of Ardeai and Tylis have been major annoyance to the stability of my realm but now they are mostly eliminated. With peace returning to my provinces, I looked toward the treacherous dogs who had assassinated great Pyrrhus and ravaged my port of Appolonia multiple times--the Romans--and leveled my spear against them. May Rome tremble in fear.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8lV4vTmamCk&list=PLczCuDUjFsGGnm8gM2GWjgitg2LOCZnE9&index=12
Part 13. Threesome with Bythinia.
The other families definitely did not like me pulling the Defender of Pella, Alexander, to my sphere of influence. However that wasn't the most audacious move I made in this episode, as I saw an opportunity to deal a huge blow to my eastern enemy, Bythinia, all the while dallying with the Romans.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nY9BjXhfcPs&list=PLczCuDUjFsGGnm8gM2GWjgitg2LOCZnE9&index=13
Part 14. Foursome with Sardes.
I am expanding slowly on both eastern and western front's though the conquests are minor. The two big targets of my expansion--Neapolis and Ancyra--are just out of my reach. Going to be fun.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EGqRVKiAW44&list=PLczCuDUjFsGGnm8gM2GWjgitg2LOCZnE9&index=14
Part 15. Plunging into Anatolia.
I decided to gamble on my luck and made some rapid conquests in Asia Minor. Hope it won't come back and haunt me in the arse.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvwW0DchBfY&list=PLczCuDUjFsGGnm8gM2GWjgitg2LOCZnE9&index=15
Part 16. Rome in sight!
At last, the blasphemously bloated city of the thrice cursed Romans is close enough to be conquered. Gotta make some preparations because chips are going down!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eP_y5020Hm0&list=PLczCuDUjFsGGnm8gM2GWjgitg2LOCZnE9&index=16
Part 17. Cleaning out Anatolia.
While preparing for the siege of Rome, I decided to destroy Sardes and gain undisputed control over Asia Minor. Have fun watching Ballistas do their work.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GAgL7tc2leY&list=PLczCuDUjFsGGnm8gM2GWjgitg2LOCZnE9&index=17
Part 18. Rome has fallen.
Here I was, at the gates of Rome, expecting a welcome party of thousands of angry Roman Legionaries. Never expected that Romans would lose Rome before I take it. Oh well, one foe is no different than the others I suppose. Time to make Roma mine.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Edswpyjkedc&list=PLczCuDUjFsGGnm8gM2GWjgitg2LOCZnE9&index=18
Part 19. I sank your battleships!
The Romans are now but a minor threat. With my nemesis sidelined, I now looked towards the future and how best to end this campaign.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mo6tMCTfxco&list=PLczCuDUjFsGGnm8gM2GWjgitg2LOCZnE9&index=19
Part 20. Picking a fight with Pontus.
To get full control of the province of Galatia et Cappadocia, war with Pontus was inevitable. My offensive has been stellar so far. Let's see if they have any tricks up their sleeves.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yt584A5l0V8&list=PLczCuDUjFsGGnm8gM2GWjgitg2LOCZnE9
Part 21. I...lost a fight?
My conquests in Asia Minor was fast...faster than it should have been. The result was my first loss to the AI. However, revenge was swift and brutal in this action packed episode.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6jtqjmFyie4&list=PLczCuDUjFsGGnm8gM2GWjgitg2LOCZnE9&index=21
Part 22. Sealing the deal in Sicily.
I managed to unify two provinces in this episode--Magna Graecia and Galatea et Cappadocia. With this, only the provinces of Hercynia and Lybia are left for my own victory conditions. They are situated far away and are teeming with danger.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnjvhWbnedo&list=PLczCuDUjFsGGnm8gM2GWjgitg2LOCZnE9&index=22
Part 23. Into Syria.
To protect my Anatolian holdings, I decided to cut down the Seleucids' man power. If I can capture few strategic settlements from them, I will be able to focus my effort on Hercynia and Libya as planned.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-u5oPC3TUc4&list=PLczCuDUjFsGGnm8gM2GWjgitg2LOCZnE9&index=23
Part 24. To North!
Managed to deliver quite a heavy blow to the Seleucids. Now, to march north and capture the campaign objective province of Hercynia.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5JgI6vf6Cg&list=PLczCuDUjFsGGnm8gM2GWjgitg2LOCZnE9&index=24
Part 25. Locking horns with the Breuci.
The faction of Breuci is in my way to Hercynia. You know what that means. Bloodshed aplenty! This episode is full of carnage.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2IAx8pcSdAA&list=PLczCuDUjFsGGnm8gM2GWjgitg2LOCZnE9&index=25
Part 26. Surprise at Antioch.
As I finished mopping up the Breuci in the North, the Seleucids just made a huge surprise party for me in the East.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ViFqeJit-A8&list=PLczCuDUjFsGGnm8gM2GWjgitg2LOCZnE9&index=26
Part 27. Defense of Antioch.
The Seleucids had brought overwhelming numbers to take back it's city and I was in quite a pickle. Thankfully I had a couple of spies who managed to wreck some baggage trains and isolate the enemy, allowing me to face them piecemeal.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZEuySf1sgU&list=PLczCuDUjFsGGnm8gM2GWjgitg2LOCZnE9&index=27
Part 28. The Hunger Games.
I managed to push back the Seleucids and expanded to Libya and Pannonia. However, all is not well since I somehow neglected food supply and my people are going hungry!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SM7uxdCEODs&list=PLczCuDUjFsGGnm8gM2GWjgitg2LOCZnE9&index=28
Part 29. Red Sands.
Battles are becoming ever frequent and ever larger in my Epirus campaign as I continued to lock horns with the Seleucids and its satraps. In the south the Nasamones are stubbornly trying to resist my advance, and falling by the hundreds. All the while hunger persists...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5-_8_Iiazw&list=PLczCuDUjFsGGnm8gM2GWjgitg2LOCZnE9
Part 30. Naval siege of Antioch.
The war in Libya is going my way and I am securing my city of Antioch from the Seleucids over land but they surprised me with a HUGE naval invasion from the sea. Oh boy!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4ncKzdxJ1Y&list=PLczCuDUjFsGGnm8gM2GWjgitg2LOCZnE9&index=30
Part 31. Entering Hercynia.
After few turns worth of fighting, I finally managed to unify Libya. Now, on Hercynia, the last province I need for my victory condition.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSO0Kyxs2R4&list=PLczCuDUjFsGGnm8gM2GWjgitg2LOCZnE9&index=31
Part 32. Taking Tyros.
The Seleucids are still pressuring me from the south and the east but I am finally going on the offensive.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zph30rdjOW4&list=PLczCuDUjFsGGnm8gM2GWjgitg2LOCZnE9&index=32
Part 33. The Final Chapter?
As I struggle to contain the enemies at the eastern border of my Empire, I finally managed to conquer Hercynia, thus achieving my personal victory condition for the campaign. Worry not, There will be more to come.
Part 34. The Real Ending.
Here it is, fellas. I finished the whole thing with a Cultural Victory. What can I say other than to watch the finale? Thank you guys for your support all the way.
Comments, suggestions and advice are most welcome.
