Since no one's post any pictures yet, allow me to pop this thread's cherry by posting two of mine
Playing as Epirus, I decided to head down to Sparta and wipe out the Spartans once and for all. An army led by Pyrrhus landed in the Peleponnesus but didn't have enough movement points to reach Sparta itself so I had them switch to defensive stance and hunker down before ending the turn. As soon as it's the AI's turn I'm attacked not only by the army that was garrisoning Sparta but also a second army that had managed to avoid my notice off the coast and had now landed to attack me as well. Long story short, I managed to defeat both Spartan armies (thanks in no small part to Pyrrhus' bodyguard and my war elephants) and win a heroic victory that left a wonderful little marker on the campaign map.
A random bug managed to leave a single Spartan hoplite standing alone on the bloody battlefield, but the result of this was a screenshot that looks surprisingly epic and moving. I like to think that this guy was somehow knocked out in the middle of the battle only to wake up and find himself surrounded by the bodies of his fallen brothers and Pyrrhus' war elephants. I call it, "The Last Spartan" and I'm mulling over the idea of writing a short story about it.

Nice screenshots there DU. Personally I am awaiting the first patch, and maybe some official graphics driver support, before turning my eye to capturing the stunning vistas and battles. Partially because I am being a fussy blighter who wants to run the game at a higher detail level before taking screenshots, spoilt by Shogun 2.
Nice shots DU. Looks like carnage. Finally pried myself off the game to actually talk about it here.
So, here goes the tale of Legio II Italia, in picture form.
A new front. A new war. Fresh from their experience subduing Iberia, the Legion prepares to assault Heiraptnya on Crete and remove Knossos from power.
Advancing under missile fire, the Greeks resistance is stubborn.
Iberian auxiliary cavalry having flanked the enemy garrison in the town arrives on the beach head, to discover more Greeks about to land. They do their best to hold off the enemy advance until the Legionaries can fight through the town and hold the beach.
The beach head landing is reminiscent of the Legion's own amphibious invasion of Iberia, where the tribes were subdued only after a decade of fighting.
After capturing the Eastern coast, the tribes in the west formed the Celtiberian Confederation, combining their strength. They met Legio II Italia in the fields with most of their might, the battle was a close one, but ultimately the Legion broke the barbarian resistance that afternoon.
The Legionnaires get pummeled with rubble and javelins as they try to capture the final barbarian stronghold in Iberia.
A Legionnaire notices the flag of the Roman Republic hoisted above the sacred grove at the heart of the Barbarian settlement, despite being attacked by slingers, he is overcome with emotion that the war is finally won.
The Legion endures. Something about the Greeks though, makes it seem like they won't be as easy to bring to heel as the Spanish tribes...
Lovely pictures. You so have it looking nice on there!

Romans assaulting a city.
Defending Rome (tier 2 or something)- I got super excited when I realised I could work out the city plan for Rome. I believe this is the Senate house!

Pay attention to the politics lads, lest you incur a civil war. Which as epic a fight as it may have been, I doubt you want nine 20 unit armies running around your home province declaring some not so civil war-ness. Sparta being Sparta however shall not stand for such an afront, and so they were promptly put to the dory, kopis, and sarissa.

Just a quick shot of the prologue scene sieging the last remaining Samnite city. It was a pretty fun prologue.
Now what to choose to start a whole campaign!?!?!

I'm suddenly tempted not to play this game until more updates come out.
If it's because of performance or optimization issues, then I can understand why. The game runs very well on my rig, but there are many people, in particular those with certain video cards and processors, that are having a lot of trouble with it
Here's two of my post recent screenies. The first was from am especially hard fought battle between the Macedonians (me) and the Ordrysian Kingdom. Thanks to a certain bug, there were a lot of Ordrysian soldiers kneeling in despair The second was taken from earlier battle against Tylis. I'm using the Lines of Battle mod, which is why the number of pikemen is much higher than normal (240 compared to vanilla's 160).
